Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Syrian and Egyptian papers carried articles to observe the 21st anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. The Syrian paper Al Thawrah in an article on July 5 noted that Kim Il Sung was a great man recognized by the world who made tangible contributions to carving out the destiny of mankind. The article went on: He founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea after embarking upon the road of revolution in his teens. He defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country by beating back the aggression by the U.S. imperialists and their allies against the young DPRK. He shared joy and sorrow with the people and turned the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence. He also made great contributions to the global cause of independence. The Egyptian paper Al-Misaiya on July 4 in an article titled "Eternal sun" said that Kim Il Sung, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven, dedicated himself to them. The article noted: He took care of all people with his great magnanimity. He rendered sincere support to many countries and nations in their struggle for national liberation in colonies and building of new society. His idea and cause will be immortal like the sun. He is the eternal sun of mankind. |
