Present there from the DPRK side were Army General of the Korean People's Army Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Army Lieutenant General Ryom Chol Song, Army Lieutenant General Pang Kwan Bok and other generals and officers of the Korean People's Army and from the Lao side members of the Lao high-ranking military delegation led by Minister of Defence Sengnouane Sayalat, secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, and Phonekham Inthaboualy, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the issue of developing the friendly relations between the two armies and other issues of mutual concern.

Earlier to the talks, a ceremony for welcoming the delegation took place.

Pak Yong Sik and Sengnouane Sayalat reviewed the guard of honor of the KPA Army, Navy and Air and Anti-Air Force.
