They laid a floral basket before the mosaic depicting smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Songrim City and paid tribute to them.

The captain and crewmen of the Panama-flagged ship Kaixiang were present there.

Speakers said they knew well that the Korean people have undergone sufferings due to the seven decades-long division since Korea was partitioned into the north and the south owing to outside forces' interference.

They extended full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people for achieving great national unity under the banner of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration and building peaceful one Korea.

They expressed belief that the Korean people would defend the dignity of the country, reunify it and build a thriving nation without fail under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
