They hurled more than 100 fascist policemen belonging to the puppet Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on July 15 into searching the office of the organization, the venue of sit-in strike of members of its leadership, printing house and three other places on the suspicion of "formation of enemy-benefiting organization".

They issued warrants of arrest for its ten leading members, creating a terror-ridden atmosphere.

They arrested Kang Sun Yong, member of the education committee of the organization, and threatened to walk off nine other persons.

The Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy, the Measure Committee of Civic and Public Organizations against Suppression under the Pretext of Security, the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the "Christian Pastors' Group for Peaceful Action" and other civic, public and religious organizations held a press conference at the Christian church in Seoul at which they strongly protested against the fascist police's suppression.

The police's repressive action against the Korea solidarity was reminiscent of the suppression under the "yusin" fascist regime, the organizations held.

They noted that the Korea solidarity launched action after forming the second group of sit-in strikers, adding the suppression under the pretext of security is bound to lead to ruin.
