Foreign Crewmen Meet
Chongjin, July 20 (KCNA) -- A meeting of foreign crewmen took place at Chongjin Port on Monday on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The participants laid bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province and paid tribute to them.

Present there were the captain and crewmen of the Kiribati-flagged ship New Global.

Speakers praised the President as a legendary hero who led the three year-long hard fought Fatherland Liberation War in the 1950s to a victory, beating back the U.S. imperialists and their allies.

They went on:

The U.S. imperialists brought to the Korean front every human and material resource they could mobilize and applied all most brutal and vicious war methods in the war history but they only sustained a miserable defeat.

They are threatening and pressurizing the DPRK through war moves against it and "human rights" racket, oblivious of the lesson taught by history, but these will get them nowhere.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
