Present at the meeting were officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and other workers.

DPRK Hero Kim Sung Un, a lecturer at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, said that President Kim Il Sung wisely led all service personnel and people and thus brought about a shining victory, defeating the U.S. imperialists who launched a war of aggression to nip the DPRK in the bud.

He said that thanks to the President's Juche-oriented military idea, war methods, strategies and tactics the army and people of the DPRK could defeat the numerically and technically superior U.S. imperialists by means of political and ideological advantages, displaying the matchless self-sacrificing spirit and popular heroism, and demonstrate the dignity and honor of the country and nation before the world.

He recalled that he shot down five planes of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces by fighting as taught by the President who advanced the superb tactics of downing enemy planes and had the honor of being receiving the title of the DPRK Hero.

He talked about the heroic battles the KPA soldiers fought by dedicating their youth and lives to the victory in the war in hearty response to the orders of their supreme commander.
