Law on Protection of National Heritage Issued in DPRK

| Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK newly adopted and promulgated the Law on the Protection of National Heritage, the replacement of the Law on the Protection of Cultural Heritage. The new law breaks into six chapters and 62 articles, which deal with various issues arising in unearthing, gathering, estimating, registering and preserving national heritages. The adoption of the law provides a firm legal guarantee for properly protecting and carrying forward national heritages on the principles of the Juche character, historicism and scientific accuracy as required by the developing situation. |
