Through the genuine life they had led for five years after the country's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule, they keenly felt that their motherland precisely means President Kim Il Sung who set up workers and peasants as masters of the country, masters of factories and land.

With the faith that they would surely win the war as long as they were led by Kim Il Sung, the Korean people came out in the sacred struggle to defend their motherland. And this faith was the essence of the mental power they displayed in the war.

Servicepersons unhesitatingly sacrificed their lives for the country to perform heroic feats in every battlefield, shouting "For the Party and the Leader!" And the people in the rear devoted their all to the wartime production and assistance to the front, overcoming all sorts of hardships while singing "Song of General Kim Il Sung".

During the war, more than 600 heroes emerged and many units of the Korean People's Army were conferred the title of guards.

The Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War clearly shows that the army and people firmly rallied around the Party and the leader with absolute trust in them and love for the country would surely emerge victorious.
