The work, a radio speech made by Kim Il Sung to all the Korean people on June 26, Juche 39 (1950), deals with the efforts exerted by the DPRK government to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and lays bare the aim sought by the U.S. imperialists and the Syngman Rhee puppet clique in igniting the war of aggression.

The work, published by Kim Jong Il on November 14, Juche 81 (1992), deals with the necessity to defend the world socialist movement and the cause of socialism and indicates the tasks for defending and advancing the cause and ways to do so.
