Rodong Sinmun Dismisses U.S. Assistant Secretary of State's Reckless Remarks on Human Rights

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- At a special press conference to announce the "Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2014" some days ago, a U.S. assistant secretary of State vociferated about the "human rights issue" in the DPRK, which was cooked up on the basis of lies and fabrications, and cried out for "changes". Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article in this regard: The U.S. is a wicked quarreler as it shelves its most serious human rights issues in the world and pulls up other countries over their "human rights issues" and a heinous trickster keen to bring down their social systems. Many countries are spitting at the U.S. "annual report on the human rights" published to threaten their political stability and seeking collapse of their social and political systems. As the international community unanimously rebuffs and denounces, the U.S. is the world's worst grave yard of human rights. No matter what jargons the U.S. is making in the world arena to pull up other countries including the DPRK over their "human rights issues," it can never stem the present trend of the era dynamically advancing along the road of independence against imperialism. The U.S. should never miscalculate. It is sadly mistaken if it thinks that the above-said report will prompt the army and people of the DPRK to give up the Korean-style socialist system centered on the popular masses in which the genuine human rights are guaranteed and that it can deter the DPRK from advancing towards the final victory of socialism. The American ruling quarters would be well advised to care about the fate of their country going downhill, with its system rotten to the core. |
