Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Members of the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea and victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army held a Wednesday meeting outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul on July 22. Speakers accused Japan of passing the security bill aimed to render its pacifist constitution invalid through the session of the House of Representatives. They termed the action a mockery of the world people. Recalling that majority of Japanese oppose the bill, the speakers urged Japan to stop harassing peace in Northeast Asia and agitating a war. More than 120 bodies including the Council for the Peaceful Unification of Tangun's Nation and such religious bodies as the south Korean Council of Christian Churches protested against the passage of the security bill in Japan. More than 120,000 teachers, students and their parents in Inchon area participated in a signature campaign in protest against Japan's distortion of history. |
