In the evening, people from all walks of life and school youth and children thronged the Mansu Hill where the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il stand, banks of the River Taedong, Panwol Islet, Okryu Bridge and other parts of the city to watch the display of fireworks of victory of Songun Korea.

At 23:00 fireworks were displayed all at once amid the playing of song "Holiday of Great War Victory", gorgeously decorating the nocturnal sky of Pyongyang.

Myriads of multi-color fireworks went off, working wonders.

The people looked back with deep emotion the feats and patriotic devotion made by Kim Il Sung who led the army and people to victory in the hard-fought battles and stern confrontation with the imperialists and feats and devoted efforts of Kim Jong Il who won one victory after another in the showdown with imperialism and the U.S.

Amid the playing of "Song of Pride of Guard Units" fireworks continued to be displayed, presenting fascinating and spectacular sceneries.

The fireworks display strikingly manifested the heroic spirit of the army and people of the DPRK dynamically advancing toward the final victory of the Juche revolution under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
