Participants declared that their practical task for marking the 70th anniversary of August 15, the day of the liberation of the country, is to hold in check the deployment of THAAD in south Korea and Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense".

They staged a demonstration, shouting slogans "Let's put an end to war!" "Let's live in peace!" and "Let's go to achieve reunification!" and singing various songs, including the one calling for going to Mt. Paektu in the spirit of reunification.
