Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 69th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality (July 30, 1946).

Women workers of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill are significantly greeting the day with increased production.

In this regard, KCNA met Ju Wol Hyang, workshop head of the mill.

She said:

The mill has achieved great achievements under the guidance of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu. Thanks to their loving care for women, the mill turned into a model unit where the cultured practice is established in production and life.

It introduced over 100 technical innovations in production, overfulfilling its yearly quota every year.

It has a room for online education provided by Tele-education College under Kim Chaek University of Technology and a scientific and technological disseminating room for employees.

It also runs welfare facilities, nursery and kindergarten for women workers, who are holding a majority of its employees.

To hand down to posterity the immortal leadership exploits performed by anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk in developing the silk-reeling industry, the mill was renamed Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill in July Juche 98 (2009), under a decree of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly.
