The title of candidate academician went to Ri Yong Sik, teacher of Pyongyang University of Railways, and Choe Chang Sik, director of the Public Health Administration Institute.

Professorship was awarded to 10 persons including An Myong Hun, department head of Kim Il Sung University, and Jo Son Hwa, department head of Kim Chol Ju University of Education.

Doctorate was conferred on Yu Hyo Gun, teacher of Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, Pak Song Ho, department head of Kim Il Sung University, Ri Kang Hae, department head of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, Yang Hye Yong, teacher of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, and other persons and associate professorship to 182 persons.

A ceremony of awarding the academic degrees and titles took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Thursday.
