Present there were Choe Thae Bok, Kwak Pom Gi, and vice-premiers of the Cabinet, officials of ministries and national institutions, officials of the party and administrative and working people's organizations, institutions, industrial establishments and farms, heroes, persons of merits and other people from all walks of life in the city.

Then, representatives of working class, agricultural workers and youth and students took the floor to take their pledges.

They expressed their determination to demonstrate the heroic spirit and stamina of the citizens in the capital city in the anti-U.S. showdown and in the general offensive for bringing about the final victory in building a thriving nation by learning from the veterans' revolutionary faith and spirit of defending the country.

They said that they would devotedly defend the Party Central Committee with an unshakable faith that the country's reunification and the building of a thriving nation are sure to be achieved thanks to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, and take the lead in producing the heroic epic of great Kim Jong Un's era and the new myth of Songun Korea's victory with proud successes of production and construction.

They said they would regard their units and working sites as Raktonggang front and Height 1211 in flames and give full play to the spirit of defending the country and indomitable fighting spirit displayed in the 1950s on all fronts of building an economic power.

They would become fortresses and shields in devotedly defending Kim Jong Un, their destiny and future, just as members of bodyguard company devotedly defended Supreme Commander Kim Il Sung amid intensive bombing by the enemies during the war, they said.

They stressed the need to become human bullets and bombs if Kim Jong Un issues an order, and thus wipe out those aggressors to the last one so that not a single man would be left to sign a surrender document.
