The Uruguayan newspaper La Juventud on July 26 dedicated one whole page to an article titled "Peerless strategist" illustrated with a photo of President Kim Il Sung.

The article said that the DPRK won a miraculous victory in the hard-fought war against the imperialist allied forces headed by the U.S. which had had powerful military muscle, economic strength and long history of invasion and it is just attributable to the President's outstanding strategies, tactics and military war methods.

The article went on;

When the U.S. ignited the Korean war at dawn on June 25, 1950 by prodding the south Korean puppet army, the President set forth a strategic policy for the Korean People's Army to switch to a counteroffensive immediately.

This was a new and original strategy of counteroffensive that could not be found in the existing military theories and manuals and war experience of other countries.

The numerical and technical advantages of the U.S. which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world were completely overwhelmed by the strategic and tactical advantages of the Korean People's Army led by the President.

The Russian newspaper Rio Panorama on July 24 said in an article titled "Bitter defeat of U.S." that the wretched defeat of the U.S. in the Korean war recorded one indelible page of history.
