As already reported, the DPRK clarified that it would hold the "Conference for National Reunification Marking the 70th Anniversary of Country's Liberation" from Aug. 13 to 15 and other colorful events including the ceremony of launching the grand march for independent reunification on Mt. Paektu, sacred mountain of the nation, joint meeting for peace and reunification of Korea and pledge-taking meeting for independent reunification in Pyongyang and Panmunjom, and has flung its door open for all the representatives at home and abroad desirous to take part in the events.

The south Korean puppet group, however, is chilling the atmosphere for the joint events while trumpeting about "depoliticization," Rodong Sinmun Monday in a commentary says, stressing this is a cunning plot to check the joint events, being unpleased with them.

The paper goes on:

Their talk about "depoliticization" is groundless sophism prompted by the sinister purpose to disturb the Aug. 15 joint events which have caught interest and on which expectation is put by Koreans at home and abroad, and thus escape from the responsibility for it.

Their act of checking the joint events showed that their talk about "dialogue" is deception and a stop-gap measure to justify and intensify their moves for confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north in collusion with outside forces.

Steeped in to the marrow of bones of the south Korean authorities are only their ambition for confrontation with the fellow countrymen and for invasion of the north.
