The historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, landmarks for national reunification in the new century, were adopted to put the inter-Korean relations on the orbit of reconciliation and reunification from evil cycle of antagonism and confrontation in which they were locked.

The idea and line of national reunification advanced by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il serve as the immortal banner to be invariably held fast to despite change of the times and any situation.

There can never be any change in the basic principle of national reunification indicated by the great leaders no matter how the situation and circumstances may change.

The anti-reunification forces at home and abroad have gone to the extremes in their moves to escalate confrontation with the DPRK. This situation calls for further consolidating the driving force of national reunification.

Unshakable is the will of all Koreans to carry out the great leaders' last instructions for national reunification without fail despite tense situation and vicious challenge by anti-reunification forces.
