Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- An Ugandan national seminar on the theme of "DPRK's experience in Songun politics" took place in Kampala on July 31 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Present there were Kirunda Kivejinja, senior adviser to the Ugandan president and member of the Executive Committee of the Uganda National Resistance Movement, the chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, Mayambala Lawrence, chairman of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in Makerere University, and followers of the Juche idea. Present there on invitation were the ambassador and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Kampala. Kirunda Kivejinja and others praised President Kim Il Sung for embarking upon the road of revolution in his teens, clarifying the principle of Songun based on the Juche idea out of his immutable will to counter with arms the Japanese imperialists armed from head to foot, founding the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and liberating Korea by leading the hard-fought anti-Japanese war to a victory. The President, despite difficult conditions in the wake of Korea's liberation, strengthened the revolutionary forces and thus defended the sovereignty of the young DPRK from the U.S. invasion, they said, adding: The Songun idea of the President was applied to HE Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership. Kim Jong Il with his unprecedented Songun politics developed the DPRK into a political and ideological power, nuclear power and satellite manufacturer and launcher. A letter to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar. |
