Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- A seminar, book exhibition and film show were held by the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India and round-table talks at an Ethiopian hospital on Aug. 3 to observe the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation. On display at the book exhibition were Korean books dealing with the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and introducing Songun Korea. Participants of the film show watched the Korean film "My Country Has Emerged Victorious by Dint of Single-minded Unity". The chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India said that the Japanese imperialists worked hard to stamp out the time-honored history of the Korean nation, blustering that Koreans should either obey the Japanese law or die, and tried to deprive them of even their mother tongue and names. At that time, the President started his revolutionary struggle in his teens, founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, defeated the Japanese imperialists, who dreamed of dominating the world, with his unique strategy and superb guerilla warfare and thus liberated the country, the chairman added. |
