Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, and Juha Kieksy, chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

It decided to organize diverse political and cultural events on the significant days of the DPRK and hold a European regional seminar against the U.S. in the run-up to the 70th anniversary of the U.S. forces' occupation of south Korea.
