Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The 28th issue of the Russian paper Pravda Primoriya dedicated two whole pages to a travelogue of the DPRK by a group of the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation for tour of the area of Mt. Paektu. The group traveled the DPRK with the approach of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation for the purpose of touring revolutionary sites and battle sites including Mt. Paektu, the holy mountain of Korea associated with the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung, the paper said, and went on: Members of the group left for Mt. Paektu at dawn, following in the footsteps of Marshal Kim Jong Un who climbed the mountain in April last to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the sunrise. The visit to leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp helped them know well about the fact that the Korean people are valuing the revolutionary history and preserving relics well and that this helps educating young people in a revolutionary way. Then they visited the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, Chongbong Bivouac, Konchang Bivouac, Rimyongsu Falls, etc. They also visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of Kim Il Sung, the Revolutionary Museum and e-library of Kim Il Sung University, Kumsong School, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and other places in Pyongyang. The head of the group noted that the visit to Mangyongdae provided an opportunity to know well about the patriotic and revolutionary family of Kim Il Sung and his family members who ardently loved the country, nation and people. The head extended thanks to Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, for letting the group experience the blizzard of Paektu. The paper carried photos the members of the group had taken. |
