July 27 marks the 62nd anniversary of the conclusion of the Armistice Agreement (AA) between the DPRK and the U.S.

The Korean people prevailed over the U.S. in the three-year hard-fought war under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK, and the Workers' Party of Korea.

The U.S. suffered a bitter defeat in the Korean war and could not but sign the AA in the end.

However, prompted by its geopolitical interests the U.S. turned down the repeated demand of the DPRK for the replacement of the AA with a peace agreement.

It has employed all possible means to permanently keep its forces in the south side of the Korean peninsula.

The struggle of the Korean people aspiring after peace, justice, independence and reunification is being supported by the world progressives.

The Canadian people should indict the U.S. for its crimes, demand it conclude a peace agreement with the DPRK and help averting another Korean war.
