Afforestation was carried out at the Pyongyang Folklore Park and on the banks of the River Taedong.

In this year, more than 500,000 trees were planted and nearly 20 hectares of lawn have come into appearance in the city.

The Horticultural Management Bureau of the Pyongyang City People's Committee has taken measures necessary for afforesting, including the supply of good species of saplings.

Institutions in the city planted hundreds of trees including willows and cultivated tens of hectares of lawn around the construction sites of Sci-Tech Complex and Mirae Scientists Street.
