Zelenov, first secretary of the Nakhodka City Committee of the Maritime Territory of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events to praise the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the anniversary.
