Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- There took place seminars and book exhibitions in Nepal, Malaysia and Nigeria from August 3 to 7 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Displayed at the venues of the events were works of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books introducing Songun Korea. Former prime minister and foreign minister of Nepal Narayan Kaj Shrestha, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), Manik Lama, chairman of the Nepalese Association for Supporting the Songun Politics, and other speakers praised the President for achieving the historic cause of national liberation by leading the arduous anti-Japanese war to victory. They said that Korea's liberation was the historic event which instilled strong confidence, hope and encouragement into many colonial countries and progressive people of the world who were fighting for national liberation at that time. Aba Sadik Abubakr, chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Juche Philosophy, and other speakers praised the President who advanced the line of anti-Japanese armed struggle on the principle of Juche idea and Songun idea and founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, defeating the Japanese imperialists and achieving the historic cause of the country's liberation. A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event held in Nepal. |
