Tha Win, secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar, said:

President Kim Il Sung organized and led twenty years of the hard-fought anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory and thus liberated the country.

He covered the road for the country and people all his life since he embarked upon the road of the revolution in his teens and performed the undying feats before the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Korean people and world history of politics.

The Korean people will achieve a brilliant victory in their struggle for building a thriving nation and accomplishing the cause of reunifying the country as they are led by H.E. Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the DPRK.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said:

Aug. 15 is a meaningful day for the Korean people as it gave the joy of national rebirth and made them be the genuine masters of the country.

Kim Il Sung led the bloody anti-Japanese war to victory and thus retook the usurped country and highly demonstrated the national dignity.

Kim Jong Un who carries forward the idea and cause of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il is now wisely guiding the overall work of the party and state and making efforts for defending the country's sovereignty and dignity and building an economic power.
