Marwan Sudah, chairman of the Arab Committee for Solidarity with Korean People and Supporting the Reunification of Korea, said this in his article titled "Korea's liberation, turning point of history" posted on a website on Aug. 12 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

He said that the Korean people could enjoy the independent and dignified life as proud masters of their destinies, state and society after having been freed from the Japanese imperialists' colonial slaves thanks to the country's liberation.

He went on:

A people's power was established and democratic reforms were successfully carried out in the northern half of Korea in a short period under the leadership of the party and thus the people became masters of the power, factories and the land and women were freed from feudal fetters that had persisted for thousands of years.

The DPRK has pushed forward the military affairs with more priority given to it than other work guided by the Juche idea and Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed in depth by leader Kim Jong Il and by firmly adhering to the principles of Juche in thinking, independence in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliance in defence.

The Workers' Party of Korea became a mother party which takes care of the destiny of the popular masses and leads them, the people's power became responsible for their life and the people's army defender of their freedom and happiness.
