Officials, Members of Women's Union Meet Women Active in Assisting Army

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- A meeting with women active in assisting the army took place at the Central Youth Hall on Friday. Speeches were made there by women active in Pyongyang City in assisting the army. Pak Ryu Sun, resident in Chukjon-dong No. 1, Mangyongdae District, said she would continue assisting the army, always remembering the loving care and benevolence of the peerlessly great persons who awarded a gold star medal of hero to her son fallen in the battle against the enemies and made him enjoy an eternal life at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery with the hero soldiers in the 1950s. Ho Hye Sun, resident in Sanop-dong No. 2, Songyo District, said that she positively assisted the People's Army for at least 20 years. Kim Kum Nyo, resident in Chungsong-dong No. 1, Rangnang District, renewed her resolution to bring up all her children to be human bullet and bomb fighters devotedly defending the leader. Kim Thuk Sil, worker of Chilgol Restaurant, stressed that the People's Army would become stronger and happiness and future of the motherland would be firmly guaranteed when everyone assists the army with patriotic mind and noble civic consciousness. Kim Ok Ran, chairwoman of a primary committee of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) in Sungri-dong No. 3, Rangnang District, so far devoted her sincerity to the soldiers and special class disabled soldiers and dynamically assisted the army. Present at the meeting were Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, Kim Jin Ha, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the women's union and its members in the city. |
