Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- Organizations of various circles in south Korea including the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Solidarity for Progress and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held an emergency press conference near Chongwadae on Friday calling for peace against war. The regime's resumption of propaganda broadcasts against the north in the wake of the occurrence of the "mine explosion" case is bringing an armed conflict between the north and the south, the organizations noted, adding: The critical situation was created by the regime as it resumed the propaganda broadcasts in a hurry without any clear evidence to prove the "mine explosion" case as a "north's deed." It is a hard fact that broadcasting for psychological warfare is a violation of the north-south agreement. In case the military tension and hostility between the north and the south are further stirred up to reach an uncontrollable phase and an all-out war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula, it will bring huge disasters incomparable with those in the past Korean war. The organizations urged the Park Geun Hye regime to stop the broadcasts to defuse the military tension. |
