Candlelight Rally in Seoul Demands Peace

| Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- South Korean people of various circles held a candlelight rally at Chonggye Plaza of Seoul on Saturday to demand the realization of peace against war as regards the situation on the Korean Peninsula that has reached the brink of war following the resumption of the anti-DPRK broadcasts for psywar by the south Korean puppet group. Speakers said that the present situation on the Korean Peninsula has reached extremely dangerous one. If a war ignites on this land, the people would suffer from the damage, they added. They denounced the military authorities for talking about a "retaliatory proposal", adding that the people hope peace, not war. |
