Traitor Han Min Gu, puppet minister of Defense, in a "statement to the people" on August 21 claimed that broadcasts for psychological warfare were a "proper step" to cope with the "north's mine provocation." He went the lengths of crying out for "merciless punishment" and "action to force the north to pay a high price."

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Monday says this was a dangerous criminal act to ignite a war against the north by building up public opinion at home and abroad on the "mine explosion" case and the "north's shelling" incident faked up by the puppet forces and escalating the confrontation with the north under such pretext.

Their confrontation hysteria has reached its height, the news analyst notes, and goes on:

All administrative organs have been converted into alert duty system, puppet army soldiers are banned from going out and staying out and the Intelligence Service, police and other fascist repressive machines are taking alert measures across south Korea. This hysteric racket can be seen only on the eve of a war.

Worse still, the puppet group is operating "the joint plan for coping with the provocation of a local war" in league with its American master and, at the same time, hatching a plot to lead the present situation to an all-out war in a moment by introducing the U.S. imperialist aggressors in case an armed conflict occurs between the north and the south.

The puppet forces should not forget even in a dream that the powerful Paektusan revolutionary army is leveling their guns at the puppet forces.
