Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- Employees at the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex of the DPRK have turned out in a drive to produce advanced rolling stocks.

Won Ung, chief engineer of the Complex, told KCNA:

The Complex is now working hard for the production of electric locomotives and tube trains of Korean style.

A work progresses apace to develop a new type of motor for tube train with the help of researchers from universities and the Branch Academy of Railway Science.

Meanwhile, we strive to further raise the hauling capacity and speed of newly-made alternating-current electric locomotive and better passenger trains.

All workshops of the Complex keep production facilities in full-capacity operation with a will to contribute to updating the nation's railways.

In July last supreme leader Kim Jong Un provided field guidance to the Complex to kindle a torch for modernizing railways.
