The symposium on the theme of "Scientific development and building of highly civilized nation" will hear dozens of valuable scientific papers.

Present at the opening ceremony were Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and minister of Higher Education, teachers and researchers of the university, delegations of the People's University and the Yanbian University in China, delegates from Nanjing University and Beijing University in China, the Center for Massive Data Algorithmic in Denmark, New York University, Free University of Brussels and University of Leicester in Britain.

Ri Kuk Chol, vice-president of Kim Il Sung University, made an opening address to be followed by congratulatory speeches.
