The Japan Defense Ministry recently applied for about five trillion yen as defense spending for 2016 and the government is now discussing it with relevant institutions, according to foreign press reports.

Sources available say that lots of fund will be spent for improving arms equipment such as the purchase of armored cars for the Ground "Self-Defense Force" and the maritime "Self-Defense Force" out of defense expenditure for 2016, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Citing the revision of the U.S.-Japan defense cooperation guidelines as a pretext, the Japanese reactionaries are putting spurs to the militarization. This reckless war hysteria gravely threatens peace and security in Northeast Asia.
