Drug smuggling is gaining in scope in touch with international criminal bodies.

The number of cases of drug smuggling uncovered last year was five times that in 2004.

More than 160 cases of drug smuggling were reported in the first six months of the year, a sharp increase over that last year.

9.42 tons of narcotics were uncovered by the customs office of Inchon Airport in February.
