Venezuelan Paper Supports Korea's Reunification
Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The Venezuelan paper Vea on August 24 carried an article titled "Independence guarantees Korea's reunification".

The paper referred to the fact that the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK released a report dealing with the research data on scientific accuracy, validity and vitality of supreme leader Kim Jong Un's idea for independent reunification on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

It went on:

Korea was forced to be divided into two by foreign forces against the will of its nation.

Outsiders are benefiting more from antagonism and confrontation between the north and the south of Korea than from their reconciliation and cooperation.

It is self-evident that the Korean nation will become a plaything of outsiders and scapegoat in their scramble in case they are allowed to interfere in the issue of Korea's reunification in the future.

To provide a peaceful environment on the Korean Peninsula is an indispensable desire for smoothly realizing the independent reunification by putting an end to the interference of outsiders while removing the danger of war at the same time.

The DPRK remains unchanged in its stand to make sure that Korea is reunified in such a way as to be beneficial to the prosperity of other countries in the region including its neighboring countries.
