Many officers and soldiers of south Korean army have suffered from tuberculosis, hepatitis, malaria and other epidemics this year and the number is 2.4 times bigger than that in 2012, according to the south Korean website News 1 on August 30.

Venereal diseases like syphilis are also plaguing the army.

The military is in trouble with the epidemics spreading in addition to the ceaseless gang assaults, suicides and scandals.
