Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Friday says that state-sponsored frantic militaristic moves stepped up by Japan in these days are reminiscent of the days when the Japanese imperialists whetted their swords for aggression to become "leader of the East."

It goes on:

Hysteria of Japan, a copy of the past fascist empire in terms of its width, depth and fever, is not just a product of ultra-right movement of the present ruling quarters but an outcome of the march they have made for the past seven decades for militarization while crying out for reinvasion.

Japan is no longer a "pacifist state" repeatedly touted by rulers.

It is getting frantic with moves for militarization with political camp, military and munitions complex knitted together. It is a war state keen on overseas aggression and an unstable factor of threatening regional peace and security.

However, militarist Japan which was revived to seek revenge for its defeat is sadly mistaken. Reinvasion would bring it another defeat and self-destruction. As the Japanese imperialist history of aggression ended in its defeat, the future of revived militarist Japan cannot be otherwise.

Japan should bear in mind that the way for guaranteeing its survival is to liquidate its crime-woven past as early as possible with its proper outlook on history and morality.

This is a serious warning to Japan which chose reinvasion as its state policy.
