Talks between Yang Hyong Sop and First Vice-President of Council of State of Cuba Held

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- There took place talks between Yang Hyong Sop, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Miguel Diaz－Canel Bermudez, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, first vice-president of the Council of State and first vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Friday.

Present there from the DPRK side were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission who doubles as chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, Pak Kun Gwang, vice-department director of the C.C., WPK, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Kwang Gun, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and from the Cuban side members of the Cuban delegation.

At the talks both sides exchanged their views on the issue of developing the friendly relations between the two countries and matters of mutual concern.

Before the talks a ceremony of welcoming the delegation took place.
