North-South Agreement May Be Empty Paper Owing to Confrontation Moves of S. Korea: Minju Joson
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- These days the Association of Reservists and conservative media and other sinister conservative forces of south Korea unhesitatingly chill the hard-won atmosphere for improvement of the inter-Korean relations. What matters is the attitude of the south Korean authorities toward it. Minju Joson Sunday says this in a commentary.

The south Korean authorities suppress the struggle of the people demanding vital rights by doing violence but connive at the reckless acts of confrontation of the conservative forces challenging the improvement of the north-south relations. Even they behave arrogantly and insolently, analyzing the joint press release their own way. In particular, the chief executive of south Korea appeared at the ground of the "integrated firepower annihilating drill 2015" aiming at the north to agitate confrontation with the north even before the ink got dry on the joint press release. Not content with this, she let loose reckless remarks throwing a wet blanket over the improvement of the north-south relations in a foreign country.

Muddy spring will have muddy streams. Chongwadae, Administration and the ruling party of south Korea vie with each other to mislead public opinion by hurting the DPRK. Conservative forces launch confrontation rackets as if they were offered a golden opportunity.

The south Korean authorities would have not done such confrontation acts if they truly had taken the stand for promoting the national reconciliation and unity and improving the north-south relations through dialogue and negotiations.

The present reality shows that the hard-won north-south agreement may be an empty paper owing to the confrontation moves of the south Korean authorities. Then the inter-Korean relations will be driven into the catastrophic phase of confrontation and danger of a new nuclear war will increase.
