The base is being built on a vast table land covering some parts of Sepho, Phyonggang and Ichon Counties in Kangwon Province.

Tens of thousands of grass fields have been created until now.

In July and August alone, over 4 500 hectares of grassland had been mowed, yielding at least 56 000 tons of pasturage.

More than 900 dwelling houses, stables and public buildings were completed by late August.

Among them are the Sepho Zootechny Institute, Anti-epizootic Center, Sepho Hotel, the Songsan Railway Station, Songsan Senior Secondary School and Songsan Health Complex.

The general production control room and its branch offices took their shapes, thus making it possible to manage the stockbreeding base on a scientific basis.

Meet-processing and fodder-processing factories with large capacity are now under construction together with clinics, schools and hostels.
