The resolution said that coming Oct. 10 is a significant day marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the WPK. It went on:

The WPK led the Korean revolution and socialist construction to victory, regarding the Juche idea as its guidelines for a long period and made great contributions to the accomplishment of the global cause of independence.

The Korean people turned out as one in the struggle for defending the country and building socialism while smashing the extreme moves of the U.S. imperialists and hostile forces to stifle it and ignite a new war and registered proud successes. Their struggle and successes are instilling great faith and courage into the progressive political parties and people loving independence and justice and aspiring after socialism.

We, participants of the 39th festival of Avante, availing ourselves of this opportunity, extend full support and solidarity to the friendly WPK and the Korean people in their heroic struggle for building a thriving socialist nation and realizing the country's reunification.
