At the conference the organizations referred to the fact that vice- defence minister-level talks between south Korea and Japan were held in Seoul that day.

They disclosed that the talks will discuss the issues of concluding the military agreement such as the detailed procedures and methods for the dispatch of the Japan "Self-Defence Forces" to the Korean Peninsula, agreement on protecting military intelligence and agreement on mutual logistic support.

They held that the conclusion of the military agreement with Japan would bring nothing but only disturb peace on the Korean Peninsula.

They asserted that its conclusion is tantamount to providing an institutional condition for backing the SDF's reinvasion of the Korean Peninsula itself in the long run.

They urged the Defense Ministry to voice opposition to Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense," though belatedly, and immediately halt the discussion on the conclusion of the military agreement.
