Officials and scientists of the institute studied and developed highly efficacious bio-insecticide representing the 21st century urgently needed for farming, stock-breeding, pomiculture, horticulture and afforestation and not harmful to human body, soil and ecological environment.

An awarding ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Tuesday.

The title of candidate academician and professorship were conferred on Choe Sung Bok, vice-director of the above-said institute, and professorship on Rim Myong Song, head of the Bio-technical Research Institute.
