Moves to Railroad "Bill on Human Rights in North" through NA under Fire
Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) Wednesday issued a statement assailing the ruling and opposition parties of south Korea for working hard to railroad the "bill on human rights in the north" through the "National Assembly" (NA) at any cost, claiming that they agreed on the main provisions of it recently.

The conservative forces of south Korea including the "Saenuri Party" are talking volumes about "possibility" of the passage of the "bill on human rights in the north" which has been left miscarried at the NA for the past more than a decade while opposition parties are justifying their base collusion, asserting that "human rights are universally accepted value of human beings " and "crying out for protection and promotion of human rights in the north."

The CPRK vehemently denounces the ruling and opposition parties and anti-reunification conservative forces of south Korea for their moves to pass the "bill" through the NA, terming them an outrageous politically-motivated provocation and undisguised declaration of confrontation of social system, the statement said, and went on:

The south Korean NA is working hard to railroad the "bill" at a time when the U.S. and its followers are kicking up a "human rights" racket against the DPRK in the international arena including the UN. This is a despicable crime of leaving the destiny of the nation to the tender mercy of foreign forces.

It is quite natural that the south Korean people are refuting and opposing the moves to make the "bill" a law as a foolish act of driving the inter-Korean relations into catastrophe quite contrary to the trend toward dialogue and the improvement of relations growing strong thanks to the inter-Korean agreement.

What is stunning the public is that the NA is talking about "inter-Korean parliamentary talks" while crying out for the carriage of the "bill" for confrontation.

It is preposterous to talk about "implementation of the agreement," "improved relations" and "dialogue" while categorically negating and opposing the dialogue partner. This behavior is no more than clumsy red herring of those with ulterior motive.

If the south Korean politicians have a reason, they had better face up to the reality of the DPRK where the people enjoy a worthy life, stop reckless tongue-lashing and mind their own business in the world's worst tundra of human rights..

The DPRK has already declared that it would resolutely counter the moves to pass the "bill" and "human rights" racket against it, regarding them as a declaration of a war against it.

It remains unchanged in its resolute stand never to pardon those who try to infringe upon its dignity and sovereignty.
