According to Dr. Kang Kon Ho, a researcher of the faculty, its research group settled sci-tech issues in grasping hydrologic character, actual conditions of water resources and water and ecological environment in the area.

The group developed practicable software, a combination of geographical information system (GIS), remoter sensing (RS) and the latest mathematical model technique, which helps estimate the change of water quality, landslip risks and groundwater level change and remove or minimize unfavorable conditions.

It also worked out an environment monitoring plan to provide a scientific foundation for protecting the environment in the area.
