Located in Rangnang District, Pyongyang City, the factory covers an area of 12 800 square meters and all its production processes are put on an unmanned, germ-free and dust-free basis.

It produces noodle, crushed corn, sweet jelly, cake, popcorn, oil and steamed bread.

The factory also has a bathhouse and other modernly-equipped service facilities and its compound is forested with thousands of fruit trees, shrubs and other species of trees.

Installed on the roofs of its buildings are solar panels and solar water heaters.

An integral production system is established at the factory and all its products are made with locally available raw materials. Its employees can receive tele-education at the sci-tech knowledge room.

When visiting the factory in August, supreme leader Kim Jong Un praised it as an icon foodstuff factory.
