S. Korean Organization Protests Authorities' Unjust Education Policy

Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of Education University Students held press conferences at the education universities in nine regions including Pusan and Kwangju on September 15 and clarified a stand to struggle against the present "government's" financial policy for education, according to the south Korean newspaper Hangyore.

At the conferences the organization accused the authorities of setting forth in May last a proposal for "making the educational finance efficient" aimed at suppressing the financial right of city and provincial educational offices and pushing forward it.

It declared that universities under the organization would conduct a campaign for boycotting lessons and stage demonstrations and meetings in Seoul, Sejong, Pusan, Kwangju and Jeju Island in demand of the cancellation of the above-said proposal.
